PHOTOS: Silent vigil against police brutality

 






 

Last Friday's vigil to protest police brutality and repression ended with a sit-in, instead of the planned march that deemed the demonstration legal for the first time this month. The trajectory submitted to the police, as the decision to follow it, was not unanimous in the crowd. They opted for a sit-in and the night concluded peacefully, with no arrests or reports.

PHOTOS: Missing Justice


It's V-day, everyone! That means... time for the annual 
Justice for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women March!


Organized in cities across Canada since 1991, this years's march coincided with the publication of the Human Rights Watch report accusing RCMP officers in Northern B.C. of abusing aboriginal girls.
